Concierge medicine is a membership-based healthcare model where patients pay an annual fee to the practice. This allows physicians to significantly limit their patient panel size, offering enhanced benefits like 24/7 access, longer appointments, and a highly personalized approach to care.
This is an important distinction. DPC practices typically do not accept any form of health insurance. Our concierge practice, however, does accept and bill your health insurance for all medically necessary services. The membership fee covers the enhanced access and personalized services that insurance doesn't, while your insurance is used for office visits, tests, and procedures.
The fee covers all services not typically reimbursed by insurance plans. This includes 24/7 direct physician availability, extended appointments, comprehensive wellness planning, and proactive care coordination.
Yes, all members of CustomCare MD are required to maintain a health insurance policy. This is essential for covering costs such as specialist care, hospitalizations, and high-cost imaging or lab work.
Our membership agreement is for a one-year term. Should you choose to leave the practice during the term, we provide a prorated refund.
Your CustomCare MD physician will act as your advocate and care coordinator during your hospital stay. We communicate directly with the hospitalist team to review your treatment plan and ensure a smooth transition upon discharge.
